Ladies Fellowship

On the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month we meet

Ladies and friends each other we greet

We start with a song then a reading and prayers.

The aim of our time is to show others God cares

Years ago we were called Women's own

Come to worship a God who sits on the Throne

Ladies Fellowship Meeting is our name today

We learn how to live and walk in Gods way

Our speakers come from far and near

We Ladies come the Gospel to hear

As ladies we all love to chat

Whether about God or about this and that

We try to help when someone's in need

By word's, actions, just listening or deeds

Some can sing and some can talk

Along Gods path we try to walk

Some make tea which we all love to drink

While we sit and chat or just to think

On the 1st Tuesdays Ladies also meet

They don't stand around but sit down on a seat

Some will sew and some will knit

Clothes, bandages and all sorts of kit

Every so often a parcel I sent

To a place far away with love it is meant

To help poor people and those who are ill

And try with the Gospel their lives to fulfill

We end our year with a Ladies day

On a Tuesday in June what more can I say

From other Churches some Ladies do come

They all want to join in our fun

We start at eleven and then break for lunch

All in all we have a jolly good munch

After lunch when we've had our fill

We have another session to learn about Gods will

We then break for summer and to have a rest

Having spent our year learning that Gods will is best
