Ladies Support Workers

Supporting Ladies in the Church.

Hello - I'm Peggy Patterson one of four lady care workers.When asked to consider taking on this role 4 years ago I read 1 Peter 4:10 " Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." So God wants us to be good stewards and when I looked up the word "steward", I found it said " stewards are christians using the gifts entrusted to them by the Lord for the strengthening and encouragement of fellow believers " I knew this was the work that I loved to do, and so let my name go forward for election to this role.

The caring work has been both rewarding and challenging, and I have learnt a lot as I've gone along. I need to be patient and available - a listening ear is vital.

I am very thankful for the help given by other ladies in the church - Diane Sharpe, Pat Kirkwood and Jennifer Cherry, and of course the other members of the team. Their support is invaluable.
